How the keyword scores are built
Difficulty, traffic and effectiveness, what each is computed from, and how much weight to put on it.
All three are comparable between terms and meaningless as absolute numbers. A difficulty of 70 tells you a term is harder than one at 40; it does not correspond to any external unit.
What is deliberately not a signal
The number of competing apps for a term looks like a difficulty signal and is not one: both stores bound how many results they will return, so it measures the store rather than the market. It is shown because it is a fact, and it drives nothing.
